Bio:

Cherish Ruddick was born on October 27 and is a proud native of Corpus Christi, Texas. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Development from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, where she developed a passion for helping young people succeed both in the classroom and through athletics.

Coach Ruddick began her coaching career at Flour Bluff High School, serving as the Freshman Volleyball and Freshman Girls Basketball Coach during the 2017–2018 school year. She continued her coaching journey at Seashore Middle Academy, where she coached girls volleyball and basketball from 2021 to 2026 while building successful programs centered on leadership, teamwork, discipline, and character. During her tenure, she helped lead the 8th Grade Girls Volleyball and Basketball teams to three consecutive undefeated seasons and back-to-back TAIAO South Texas Regional Championships, establishing a culture of excellence and accountability.

From 2024 to 2026, Coach Ruddick also served as the Athletic Director at Seashore Middle Academy, providing leadership and guidance for the school’s athletic programs while continuing to mentor student-athletes.

In 2026, Coach Ruddick returned to Flour Bluff ISD, where she currently serves as the 7th and 8th Grade Girls Athletics Coach at Flour Bluff Junior High and the Intermediate Pre-Athletics Coach. She is dedicated to developing young athletes through hard work, confidence, and sportsmanship while preparing them for success at the next level.

Coach Ruddick is passionate about creating positive relationships with her student-athletes and helping them grow as competitors, leaders, and individuals. She takes pride in representing Flour Bluff ISD and is committed to fostering the district’s tradition of excellence both on and off the court.
