The Flour Bluff ISD Community Lap Swim program has been going strong since the program kicked-off in early December 2017. Community members, parents, staff and students have been taking advantage of the nightly two-hour lap swimming at the District’s state-of-the-art Natatorium facility. To enhance the program, the District is now offering a family rate and discounted rate for active and retired military personnel.
“The addition of the family rate and military discount rate will provide more access to our swim facility,” said Coach Hutchinson, Flour Bluff Head Swim & Dive Coach and Natatorium Supervisor.
The family plan is $150 each month. Active duty and retired military personnel rate is $35 per month. The regular monthly rate is $50 per person.
Lap swimming includes certified lifeguards on duty and lockers available to store valuables. All participants will be required to have a signed lap swim waiver on file and present a current drivers’ license or state issued ID each time they utilize the facility. Individuals taking advantage of the military discount will need to present their military ID when signing in at the pool. Proper swimwear is mandatory and all participants must shower-off before entering the pool.
Additional changes to the Community Lap Swim program are the summer hours. Beginning June 4, the Natatorium’s Community Lab Swim hours will be from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Summer hours will continue through early August.
To register and pay for the monthly swim fee, individuals will need to click here. No registration or payments will be received at the Natatorium.
