Bio: Danny Jackson is 1980 graduate and 4-sport athlete. Danny competed in football, basketball,baseball, and track and was a 3-time All District selection in football, basketball and baseball. In his senior year, he received All South Texas honors in football, the district basketball Defensive Player of the Year, and in baseball, recorded the lowest earned run average ever at Flour Bluff. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington and played quarterback his junior and senior seasons. As a Maverick, he set many passing records and was once named the Southland Conference Player of the Week. After college, Danny turned his attention to education and has earned many awards over his 35-year teaching career. Some of these include Arlington District Teacher of the Year in 1990 and Flour Bluff Elementary Teacher of the Year in 2012. He was also a Semi-Finalist for Texas Teacher of the Year in 2013. He has been featured in many articles for his innovative and inspiring classroom projects. He is truly a blessing to the Flour Bluff School system.
