Erin Steward hails from the vibrant community of Texarkana, Texas, where she was born on May 11th. A passionate educator and dedicated athlete, Erin has built a remarkable career centered around teaching and fostering a love for learning in her students. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-Texarkana, paving the way for a fulfilling journey in education. As a standout athlete, Erin played softball at Texarkana College from 1999 to 2001, where she excelled as a Co-Captain, developing leadership skills that she later applied in her teaching career.
For 18 years, Erin has provided valuable guidance and instruction to her students, with 17 of those years spent in the Flour Bluff School District and one year in Texarkana. Her dedication to her craft did not go unnoticed; she was honored as the Teacher of the Year at Flour Bluff Elementary Campus in 2013, a testament to her commitment to excellence in education and her ability to inspire those around her. Erin’s enthusiasm for teaching and her profound impact on her students’ lives have made her a beloved figure in the community.
Outside of the classroom, Erin is an avid runner, often participating in 5K races, which reflects her determination and discipline both in sports and life. She shares her life with her husband, Justin, and their freshman daughter, Raelyn, who continues to inspire her as a parent and educator.
