Bio:

Juan Gonzalez was born on April 21 in Alice, Texas, where he developed a passion for sports and education from a young age. He has built a fulfilling life in his hometown, where he is engaged to his fiancee, Marina. Their family is rounded out by two beloved dogs, Mija and Buddy, who add joy and companionship to their home.

Juan’s dedication to coaching began when he took on the role of Head Golf Coach at Alice High School from 2017 to 2019. His innovative coaching strategies and commitment to his athletes quickly gained him respect within the community. In 2019, he transitioned to a new position as the Junior High Assistant Coach at Flour Bluff Junior High, where he enriches the lives of young athletes through multiple sports, including junior high football, basketball, and track and field.

In addition to his coaching, Juan is also passionate about education and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M International University. He currently teaches Texas History, instilling a sense of cultural pride and historical awareness in his students. Through his dual roles as an educator and coach, Juan Gonzalez strives to inspire the next generation, fostering both academic and athletic excellence in the Flour Bluff ISD community.
