Bio:

Yajaira Baker is an accomplished athletic coordinator for the junior high girls at Flour Bluff Independent School District (ISD) in Texas. Born on November 20th in Agua Dulce, Texas, Yajaira’s early life was marked by a passion for sports and a commitment to fostering athletic talent in young women.

Her educational journey led her to Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK), where she earned her Bachelor’s degree, laying the groundwork for her impactful career in education and athletics. Yajaira’s coaching career began at Freer ISD, where she served as a junior high coach from 2003 to 2005. She then moved to United ISD, continuing to develop her coaching expertise from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, she joined Flour Bluff ISD, where she has been a vital part of the athletic program ever since. Her leadership and dedication have significantly contributed to the growth of female athletes in her district, inspiring them to strive for excellence in both sports and academics. Outside of her professional accomplishments, Yajaira is supported by her husband, Brian Baker, who serves as the offensive coordinator at Flour Bluff ISD.

Together, they are proud parents to their son, Cade, fostering a family environment that values education, sportsmanship, and community involvement. Yajaira’s commitment to her students and the larger community exemplifies her belief in the transformative power of athletics and education.
