Bio:

Amanda Gonzalez, born on June 22nd in Corpus Christi, Texas, is a passionate and accomplished coach who has made a lasting impact in the world of high school basketball. She is married to Marco, and together they share a close-knit family. Amanda pursued her academic journey with dedication, earning her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and further advancing her education by obtaining a Master’s degree from Grand Canyon University.

Her coaching career began at Alice High School, where she spent seven years, from 2007 to 2014, honing her skills as an Assistant Basketball Coach. During this time, Amanda built a solid foundation in leadership, teamwork, and player development. In 2015, she was promoted to Head Girls Basketball Coach at Alice High School, a position she held until 2019. Under her guidance, the team grew both in skill and spirit, earning recognition within the district.

Since 2019, Amanda has brought her expertise to Flour Bluff High School as the Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach. Her years of experience, combined with her passion for the game, make her an invaluable asset to the team, helping shape the next generation of athletes. Her commitment to education, coaching, and fostering a positive sports culture continues to inspire those around her.
