Coach Brandon Bourg, originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the game as Flour Bluff High School’s Head Boys Basketball Coach. A graduate of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi with a bachelor’s degree, Coach Bourg is known for his dedication to developing both the skills and character of his players.
Coach Bourg’s career began in 2010 as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at W.B. Ray High School, where his passion for mentoring young athletes quickly became evident. His dedication and talent led him to the role of Head Boys Basketball Coach in 2015, where he also served as Head Cross Country Coach until 2019. That same year, he joined Flour Bluff High School as the Head Boys Basketball Coach, where he has continued to inspire and lead the Hornet basketball team. His coaching emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and resilience, and his players are recognized not only for their athletic prowess but also for their sportsmanship on and off the court.
Outside of his professional life, Coach Bourg enjoys time with his wife, Vanessa, who is his greatest supporter. Together, they are proud members of the Flour Bluff community. Coach Bourg’s impact at Flour Bluff goes beyond wins and losses; he is dedicated to nurturing a positive, growth-oriented environment that prepares his players for success in all areas of life.
