Bio:

Coach Bob Chapman, a proud Flour Bluff native, has been a cornerstone of the Hornet athletics community for over 20 years. With a master’s degree from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, Coach Chapman combines his academic background with his passion for soccer and mentorship to positively shape the lives of his students and athletes.

He began his coaching journey in 2002 as an Assistant Boys Soccer Coach at Carroll High School. That same year, he returned to his roots, becoming the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Flour Bluff High School, a role he has passionately held since. Under his leadership, the Flour Bluff Boys Soccer team has thrived, known for their sportsmanship, skill, and resilience on the field. In 2018, Coach Chapman expanded his role by becoming the Sports Information Sponsor at Flour Bluff High School, where he showcases the achievements of Hornet athletes and strengthens the school’s sports community.

Beyond the field, Coach Chapman is a devoted family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Brannon and Claire, who are all equally proud to be part of the Flour Bluff family. Coach Chapman’s commitment to his athletes, his school, and his family reflects his dedication to the values of teamwork, perseverance, and community, making him an invaluable leader at Flour Bluff High School.
