Varsity golf team came home with a 2nd place finish at the United ISD golf tournament at the Max Mandel golf course in Laredo. The Hornets missed 1st place by 1 stroke. The team was led by the overall 1st medalist Katie Habib, who came in with a 2 day total of 165, (81,84) 2nd place Kaylie Chapa followed with 167, (84,83), Ferrall Tugman 205,(102,103) Tabitha Foster 208, (97,111), Jill Zimmerman rounded up the team with 212, (105,107).
On Monday the JV Girls followed with similar success taking 3rd place at the Miller JV Tournament at the Oso Beach Golf Course. Madison Sutter led the team with a 117, followed by Allison Davis finishing the round with a 118. Mallory Gulley and Abby Daws rounded out the team scores with 123 and 124.
