The defending state champion Flour Bluff Volleyball team continues its postseason momentum. After an undefeated 16–0 district run, the Hornets swept Laredo Nixon 3–0 to open the playoffs, then powered through the area round with a 3–1 victory over Edinburg Vela (20–25, 25–10, 25–22, 25–14). Under the leadership of Head Coach Kara Wallace, Flour Bluff showcased resilience and control after dropping the first set, dominating the final three to punch their ticket to the next round. The Lady Hornets continued their run in the Regional Semifinals, defeating Smithson Valley 3–1 (27–29, 25–19, 27–25, 26–24) to advance to the Class 5A Region IV Championship Game for the second year in a row. The Regional Final will be played on Tuesday, November 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Goliad Event Center, where Flour Bluff will face the New Braunfels Unicorns.
