This week’s former Hornet is Riley Grunberg. Riley Grunberg is a 2018 graduate of Flour Bluff and a 4 year Varsity Softball player. She was named to the 2015 All-District Honorable Mention team, three time Academic All District, two time Second Team All District, two time 5A All State, named Second Team All South Texas, 2018 First Team All District, Academic All State in 2018, a team captain her Senior year, and appeared in the playoffs all 4 years at Flour Bluff.
She was a preferred walk-on at the University of Texas San Antonio to play softball and due to her hard work & dedication on the field as well as in the classroom, Riley earned a scholarship to play the game she loves. She is now majoring in chemical engineering while helping her team at first base and ripping the laces off of the ball at the plate. She is a prime example of what our school stands for…. Class Pride Heart.
