Bio:

Coach Craig Johnson, originally from Duncanville, Texas, brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong dedication to soccer in his role as Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach at Flour Bluff High School. With a master’s degree from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, Coach Johnson combines his academic background with over two decades of coaching expertise to mentor young athletes and enhance the Hornet soccer program.

Coach Johnson began his coaching journey in 2002 as the Head Boys Soccer Coach at Gregory-Portland High School, a role he held for 16 years. During this time, he established a reputation for building disciplined, competitive teams and fostering a passion for the sport among his players. In 2018, he joined the Flour Bluff coaching staff as the Varsity Assistant Boys Soccer Coach, where he continues to make a positive impact through his knowledge of the game, his dedication to player development, and his commitment to fostering a cohesive team culture. Known for his emphasis on teamwork, resilience, and technical skill, Coach Johnson is a valued mentor who helps his players achieve their full potential on and off the field.

At home, Coach Johnson enjoys the support of his wife, Betsy, and their two sons, Cameron and Colton. The Johnson family is proud to be part of the Flour Bluff community, where Coach Johnson’s dedication as a coach and mentor continues to shape and inspire future generations of athletes.
