The Flour Bluff Athletics Hornet of the Week is Alexa Barreda. Alexa is a Senior Team Captain on the Lady Hornet Soccer Team. On the soccer field, Alexa was awarded First Team All South Texas. She also excels on the track with the Lady Hornet track team. Alexa was chosen by her peers as the 2020 Homecoming Queen. She is a true model of the Hornet trademarks of Class, Pride, and Heart.
What do you enjoy most about playing soccer?
I like how competitive and intense each game is.

My favorite pro team would be the Manchester City team.

My favorite movie is The Sandlot.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan after I graduate is to go TAMUCC, where I plan to study Psychology.
What type of volunteer work are you involved in within your community?
I love to volunteer by helping feed the homeless or less fortunate that are in need during the holidays.
