The Flour Bluff Athletic Hornet of the Week is Ben Escamilla, a Senior football player for the Flour Bluff Hornets. On the field, Ben helped captain the Hornets to the State Semifinals. For his hard work and leadership on the football field, Ben earned the coveted District MVP Linebacker Award. He is also a member of the Hornet Football Leadership Team. He is not only a strong player on the field but also a strong student in the classroom. Ben has been named Academic All State and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is also active in the Senior Class of 2022, where he serves on the Prom Committee. Ben is also an anchor for the Flour Bluff High School Hornet’s Nest News Announcements. Ben is an ideal student-athlete who proudly represents Flour Bluff with Class, Pride, and Heart.

I like watching “Real Steel” before each game.

My favorite class is Biology.
What are your plans after graduation?
I plan on going to Texas A&M University to become a doctor.
