The Flour Bluff Athletics Hornet of the Week is Bendik Hjelen. Bendik is a senior foreign exchange student from Oslo, Norway who began the 2021 school year at Flour Bluff. He was an outstanding student at his high school in Norway, and he has continued to excel both on and off the field here in the United States. Bendik plays an important role as a forward on the Hornet Soccer Team. Thus far this season, Bendik is leading the Hornets Soccer team in assists this season. We are proud to have his Norwegian style Class, Pride, and Heart on display.
What do you enjoy most about playing soccer?
I like being able to represent my school and play with Class, Pride. and Heart.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I like gathering with teammates the day before and get into the game-day mood.

U.S History with Mrs. Quintanilla
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan is to return to Norway and join the Norwegian Army.

Kjottkaker which is a traditional Norwegian dish and can be described as big meatballs made out of ground beef.
