The Flour Bluff Athletics Hornet of the Week is Koby Barrera. Koby is a member of the Flour Bluff Sports Information Program, in which he serves as an announcer for Flour Bluff Athletic Events and can be heard on the Radio and Live Streams of Flour Bluff Athletics.   As a member of the Sports Information Program, Koby helped build the Sports Information Program into a state recognized innovative Bragging Rights program by the Texas Association of School Administrators.  Out of the broadcasting booth, Koby is an excellent student who is a member of the National Honor Society.  Koby is active in the community as a volunteer at his church and was selected to be part of the 2022 Buc Days Port of Corpus Christi Leadership Program.  After graduation, Koby plans on furthering his education at Oklahoma State University.  Koby is an excellent example of the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan on attending Oklahoma State University.
