The Hornet of the Week is awarded to Flour Bluff Student-Athletes who exhibit Class, Pride, and Heart on and off the athletic field. This award recognizes Student-Athletes who are well-rounded representations of what Hornet Student-Athletes should be.

This Week’s Hornet of the Week is Pete Herrick. Pete is a Senior leader on the Hornet Basketball Team. Pete was named All Region and First Team All-District for basketball. Pete’s off the court hard work in the classroom earned him Academic All-District distinction. Pete also volunteers with the Flour Bluff Intermediate’s 6th Grade Pre-Athletics Program. After graduation, Pete plans on playing basketball or attending University of Texas – San Antonio. Pete is a true representation of Class, Pride, and Heart.
