The Flour Bluff Athletics Hornet of the Week is Rosa Navejas, a Senior Varsity runner for the Hornet Cross Country Team.  Rosa is a lifelong Hornet who excels in sports and in the classroom.  Her effort and endurance in the classroom have paid off with Rosa being an active member in the National Honor Society. Rosa exemplifies the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart.

What do you enjoy most about running Cross Country?

I enjoy the bond that is formed in Cross Country. Although you are competing against another, the goal is to push each other so the whole team gets better.

What is your favorite class?

My Health Science classes are my favorite because of the hands-on learning.

What type of volunteer work are you involved in within your community?

I enjoy volunteering at the Corpus Christi Food Bank and helping in any way possible around there.

What are your plans after graduation?

I plan on attending college to pursue my dream as a physician’s assistant.
