What do you enjoy most about playing sports?
I enjoy the family feeling that comes with working hard beside your teammates every day. No other individual sport compares to the bond that forms from putting the sweat and time with your team in practice. Whether I’m on or off the court, I know that my teammates have my back.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Before every game, we take 2-3 minutes to be completely silent and think about the game and the plays we need to run on the court. The quiet time really helps me focus and change my mindset into one that is prepared to take on the game.
What is your favorite class?
My favorite class is Chemistry because there are so many new things that you can learn.
What is your favorite sports related movie?
My favorite sports related movie is Hoosiers. The movie really shows that even if you have a limited team, if you work together, you can go far in the basketball world.
Do you have a favorite pro basketball team?
My favorite pro basketball team is the Houston Rockets.
What type of volunteer work are you involved in within your community?
I do volunteer work through the National Honor Society and Interact Club. These clubs offer opportunities to do volunteer work through St. Peter’s Church, and at this time, because of Christmas, they are collecting donated gifts for families in need. I have done food distributions and volunteered to help at school events multiple times. I enjoy every second I give that can help someone.
What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation, I am going to college. I haven’t committed to a college yet, but I am looking at A&M at College Station, Baylor, or UTSA. In college, I’m going to major in Biology and minor in Mathematics. After completing my undergrad, I am going to medical school to hopefully become a neurosurgeon.
What is your favorite food?
I could eat chicken Alfredo all day, every day.
