The Flour Bluff Athletics Hornet of the Week is Stacie Jorgensen. A lifelong Hornet, Stacie is a First Team All-District Pole Vaulter for the Hornet Track and Field Team. She is also a four year member and Captain of the Hornet Cheerleading Squad. Stacie will continue her cheer and track career at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she will pursue her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Stacie exemplifies the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart.
Do you have any special talents or is there something surprising about you that others might not know about you?
I was in band until I was a Sophomore and can play the bassoon.
What is your favorite food?
Chicken tenders with honey mustard.
What song best describes you or is the soundtrack to your life?
Thunderstruck by AC/DC.
What type of volunteer work are you involved in within your community?
I have helped my church out with Vacation Bible School. As a cheerleader, we also participated in Shop With a Cop.
Do you have a favorite professional athlete?
I look up to Sandi Morris. She pole-vaults for Team USA and is one of only a few women to ever clear 16 foot.
Do you have any pre-game/match/meet rituals?
I always wear the same pair of socks.
What is your favorite class?
History class is always my favorite.
