Bio:

William Johnson was born on May 25 and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. A proud alumnus of Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. His strong educational foundation has helped shape his career, while his passion for basketball has led him to dedicate his life to teaching and coaching young athletes. Over the years, he has built a reputation for his leadership, work ethic, and ability to connect with students both on and off the court.

Throughout his coaching career, William has served at several schools, including Bishop High School, King High School (CCISD), and London High School. His experience across these programs has given him a deep understanding of the game and the skills to mentor athletes at every level. Currently, he serves as the head varsity boys basketball coach at Flour Bluff ISD, where he continues to invest in the growth and success of his players. In 2026, Coach Johnson was named TABC Assistant Coach of the Year. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and character, ensuring his athletes develop not only as players but as individuals.

At the heart of William’s life are his faith and his family. He is married to his wife, Cassandra, and together they are proud parents to three children: Lysandra, Lyam, and Lynnox. God and family remain the foundation of everything he does, guiding his decisions and fueling his commitment to making a positive impact in his community. Whether at home or on the court, William Johnson strives to be a role model of integrity, dedication, and love for those around him.
