The Hornet of the Week is awarded to Flour Bluff Student-Athletes who exhibit Class, Pride, and Heart on and off the athletic field. This award recognizes Student-Athletes who are well-rounded representations of what Hornet Student-Athletes should be.

The Hornet of the Week is two-sport star Christine Lardin.  Christine is a member of the Lady Hornet Basketball Team and Track and Field Team. In addition to her involvement in athletics, Christine is a top notch student and a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation, Christine plans on going to college at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and plans on becoming a teacher or a coach. Christine is a true model of the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart.
