The Flour Bluff Athletics Hornet of the Week is Cali Nims. Cali is a Senior on the Lady Hornet Volleyball team.  She was named the All South Texas Most Valuable Player and is a two time All State Selection.  Cali is a true representation of the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart.

What do you enjoy the most about playing Volleyball?

I enjoy the bond between my teammates.  When I am playing volleyball, I just have fun and let loose.  When it comes to game time, we take it serious.

What is your favorite class? 

My favorite class is Chemistry with Mrs. Aggus.  She is a great teacher who goes out of her way to make the class fun and more challenging.

What are your plans for after you graduate? 

I plan to attend college and hopefully play volleyball at the collegiate level.

What is your favorite sports related movie?

My favorite sports related movie is “The Miracle Season”.  It shows how a team really works when all the teammates come together.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is watermelon.
