After completing the season with a record of 21-2, Coach Brandon Bourg and the Hornets were crowned District 29-5A Co-District Champions with a win over Victoria East.

The Hornets defeated the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots in the BiDistrict Round of the 2021 Boys State Basketball Playoffs 58-45. The Hornets claimed an Area Championship with a Second Round victory against the Brownsville Pace Vikings 63-57.

The Hornets advanced to the Regional Quarterfinals for the first time since 2015, where they fell to the McAllen Bulldogs 54-47.  The Hornets finished the season with a 23-3 record.
