The Hornet of the Week is awarded to Flour Bluff Student-Athletes who exhibit Class, Pride, and Heart on and off the athletic field. This award recognizes Student-Athletes who are well-rounded representations of what Hornet Student-Athletes should be.

The Hornet of the Week is two-sport star Julianna Pena. Julianna is a member of the Lady Hornet Basketball Team and Track and Field Team. In addition to her involvement in athletics, Julianna is a top notch student and a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, and the Interact Club. Off the court, Julianna volunteers with the American Red Cross a few times a month with the Hi Farnesses’ Girls Club.  After graduation, Julianna plans on going to college then nursing school to become a pediatric travel nurse. Julianna is a true model of the Hornet characteristics of Class, Pride, and Heart.
