This week’s Flour Bluff Sports Game of the Week features Flour Bluff Varsity Volleyball vs their familiar former District opponent Ray. From the early outset, the Ray Texans tested the Lady Hornets who trailed 5-1 in the first minutes of the game. “Coach (Kara Wallace) told us to get it together and also told us that we can do way better,” junior Rhori Beauregard said. The Lady Hornets did not quit and fought through the rough start. The momentum shifted quickly as Flour Bluff cruised to a 25-13 win in the first set.

“The momentum shift was really good after Coach’s talk with us. We really turned it around and played our game,” senior Hayle Campbell said.

The Lady Hornets continued to play well and went on to win the next two sets.

The Flour Bluff Sports Player of the Game was Rhori Beauregard.  She made a game changing diving dig which shifted the momentum of the match.

The Lady Hornets will continue their non-district schedule with two tournaments in Sinton and Seguin as well as two games versus  Incarnate Word Academy and Rockport.
